Mike and Igal have been business partners since the mid 90s and continue to provide excellent location sound recording services. Having started the business in Calgary many years ago, they moved the Sonex world headquarters to Toronto.
IGAL PETEL
Born and raised in Montreal, Igal studied music in the creative arts program at John Abbott College. Studies continued in Calgary with the CTSR (cinema, television, stage & radio) program at SAIT followed by commerce at University of Calgary.
Before the birth of Sonex, Igal worked for the CBC in Television, Radio and Sports Mibiles between the mid 80's and 90's.
MIKE MYRDEN
Mike was born and raised in Newfoundland (East coast, West side). Having studied English at Memorial University, Mike then decided as well to take the CTSR (cinema, television, stage & radio) progam at SAIT in Calgary.
After working as an on air DJ / Personality, Mike decided to pursue his passion to get behind the mic so to speak and join forces with Igal to create Sonex.
